Documentary's Main Claim: The main point of this documentary was to tell the viewers the real definition of Halloween and how this holiday has changed throughout the years. Every year they seem to change something new either the mask or costumes even the traditions. This holiday was created by the ancient people and it was almost close to celebrating the day of the dead and trying to keep the dead in there place and not to rise up.
3 Interesting Examples: One example they showed was how on every Halloween night the kids go trick or treating and this tradition was also done by the ancient people but they would leave goods for the dead therefore thy wouldn't rise up and that was one of the purpose's. Another example they showed was the children dressing up in costumes like a fairy , or a knight and this is what some of the ancient people also did to serve for to this holiday of the dead . Lastly, they showed the apple bobbing game which was reffered to something that the ancient people did but they gave apples to say thank you to the God Romona
Personal Thoughts: I thought this documentary was very accurate and I liked all the information they cited and also how they compared lots of traditions way back to what we do now . This was also true about teaching the viewers about the true definition of Halloween and how to properly celebrate it and not change it to keep the traditions going.
